Protecting your personal and private information is our priority. This statement of privacy applies to https://www.mycpandme.org as well as its Subdomains, Pages, or Services. This policy also applies to our merchandise store found at https://www.mycpandme.myshopify.com (collectively, “Site”) and can be found at support.mycpandme.org/privacy. The My CP & Me website is a personal blog for use by individuals affected by Cerebral Palsy to connect with one another. By using the My CP & Me website you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Henceforth, My CP & Me, L.L.C. may be referred to as “Us”, “We”, “Our”, “My CP & Me” additionally You may be referred to as “You”, “User”, “Member”, “Your” throughout the entirety of this Policy.

Collection of Your Personal Information 

In order to better provide you with products and services (collectively “Services”) offered, we may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • Mailing Address/Shipping Address
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Payment Information 

If you purchase our Services we collect billing and credit card information. Alternatively, you may be able to use (if offered) payment portals such as (but without limitation to,) PayPal, Apple Pay, and Shop Pay (Shopify’s installment plan service) for purchases (collectively, “Payment Information”) This information is used to complete the purchase transaction. 

My CP & Me may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your:

  • Gender 
  • Age

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through our public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information to us when you elect to use certain Services provided by us. Right to Deletion 

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records; and
  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records 

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if such information is necessary to:

You may submit a formal request to have your information permanently deleted (as long as no exceptions mentioned above apply) by going to https://support.mycpandme.org/delete-my-data and filling out the requested form. After we receive the form and verify account ownership and that there are no restrictions which may prevent us from deleting your data we will erase your data as requested and notify you via email upon completion of your request. Alternatively if you would like to request a copy of your personal data instead please go to https://support.mycpandme.org/request-my-data to file a request for a copy of all of your data collected and kept by us. It my take us some time to gather information to comply with this request we will email you when we have your information you requested. 

Children Under Thirteen 

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen (13) if you are under the age of eighteen (18) you must get consent from a parent/guardian in order to use the Site. If you are under the age of thirteen (13) you are not authorized to use this Site or its Services even with the consent of a parent/guardian.

From time to time, we may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication

We take the security of your information very seriously, however we do not have control of the security practices and procedures of third-party hosting vendors. We regularly communicate with vendors to discuss any vulnerabilities to ensure your information is secure on their servers, but without control of third-party vendors we cannot 100% guarantee security of your data on their servers.
