Research suggests that 15-20% of people with Cerebral Palsy have some sort of hearing loss. It is because of this co-existing condition that The My CP & Me Store support the hearing impaired and deaf community. As with everything Cerebral Palsy can be just as unique as the person diagnosed, no two cases are alike. A person diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy can have no co-existing or other conditions connected to CP or they may have any number of them. Cerebral Palsy is not a pre-requisite for any co-existing condition that may occur nor is any co-existing condition a pre-requisite for CP.
