Speech Impairments (Dysarthria)
According to The Cerebral Palsy Foundation’s CP Resource Dysarthria is a speech disorder affecting 50-90% of individuals with CP. The My CP & Me Store proudly supports speech disorders like Dysarthria because of it’s connected to Cerebral Palsy. As with everything Cerebral Palsy can be just as unique as the person diagnosed, no two cases are alike. A person diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy can have no co-existing or other conditions connected to CP or they may have any number of them. Cerebral Palsy is not a pre-requisite for any co-existing condition that may occur nor is any co-existing condition a pre-requisite for CP.
